The [E] label stands for Explicit. It indicates that an album or track contains mature content, such as strong language, sexual references, violence, or drug related themes.

Why do some older albums not have the [E] label?

We started adding the [E] label to releases in 2025 as part of a metadata update. Albums released or added before then may not display the label, even if they contain explicit content. The absence of the [E] label on older releases does not necessarily mean they are clean versions.

Does the [E] label affect audio quality?

No. The [E] label only identifies the type of content in the release. It does not affect the audio quality or file format.

Are clean versions available?

Some artists officially release both Explicit and Clean versions of an album. When an official clean version is available, it will be listed separately.

Can I rely on the [E] label for every release?

For releases added or updated since 2025, the [E] label is applied whenever the official release is marked as explicit. Older releases may not yet have been updated, so some explicit albums may still appear without the label.
